I went to Inglot cosmetics shop for the first time around 3 years ago (I even still have a blog post about my first purchase!) in a newly opened shopping center in Vilnius, Lithuania. I felt overwhelmed to see loads of different colors and product selections, plus their freedom system looked genious (and I still use it and love it!)…First things as far as I can remember, I got were couple of brushes, brow products, eyeshadows and of course the lovely waterproof gel eyeliners… At that time gel liners were still not produced by loads of companies, mostly more high- end brands had it. So it was a dream to find it rather cheap and in a nice color selection.
My first impressions were and still are that they are super pigmented and super waterproof. Any colors you try from the selection has an amazing smooth color pay off. You can use them as a liner, color base, or whatever you want but I would not put it on the waterline- it can give you an unconfortable very drying feeling (as it happened for me). They stay on for ever, you need to use a waterproof remover to get it off. I even tried it in sauna and it moved just a slight tiny bit!
There is one downside though… It’s amazing while it’s new. Very quickly it starts drying out. In my experience the consistency starts to be harder to use after month or two, and at that point you still probably have hudge amount of product which you don’t want to throw away. So of course I had to find a solution how to make it work for me… I even tried to melt it in a microvawe (only few seconds is enough, otherwise you will end up ruining it), it helped a bit, but than you can’t use it immediently since it’s hot and you can’t always have a microwave (especially since I do a lot of work on location) and it hardens back quickly again.
What helps for me is another Inglot product called Duraline. It is an oily liquid solution made for making loose eyeshadow as a liquid eyeshadow/ liner. It had a perfect little glass bottle with a dropper, so you won’t end up spilling all the liquid in one time. So what I do is- I drop one or two drops into the pot of dryed gel eyeliner, mixe it a bit with a liner brush and apply it (try not to put too much, because it will become too liquidy). It makes the application super smooth and easy, and now I can use the liner until I run out completely!
