Review: Makeup Revolution London ‘Ultra blush palette’ #Hot Spice

To start with, I have to say that I love products in palettes in general; having different colors of blush/ eye shadow or other makeup products really saves me from having to dig in my makeup kit and look for one particular color in endless makeup boxes.

Makeup Revolution London is a brand very new to me, that is the only products that I have yet tried. They have lots of very affordable makeup products, including different palettes. So of course my curiosity won and I had to try something out of their line.

There are 6 blush colors in the palette (well I would actually say 5 blushes and 1 highlight color). The products are packaged in a black plastic palette. It definitely gathers a lot of fingerprints and also is quite easy to scratch, but I like how thin and sleek the palette is, it does not take up too much space. There is also a nice quality and good size mirror, so it would help you to do your make-up if you don’t have an access to a proper mirror.

The #Hot Spice includes peachy, orange and terracotta type of colors; some of them are more pigmented than others. I should say they are very reasonably pigmented and it’s easy to build them up, also they are rather easy to blend. They do last on the skin surprisingly well!

The colors does not have individual names, so the swatches are according to blush placement in the palette.

The colors of the blushes are truly beautiful, 3 of them are absolute matte, 3 have tiny specks of sparkle, but it barely shows on the skin and last 2 are baked powders and have a pearly finish. They state that these are suitable for contouring as well, but I would definitely say that the colors are way too warm for that!
