Review: MaqPro Fard Crème foundation palette

MaqPro is a makeup brand based in France, created over 30 years ago! They produce high quality products mainly for industry specialists and their line is widely used in television, film and fashion.

Sadly it’s something not talked enough in the internet and I am still quite new to this brand. I got their foundation palette around three months ago and still testing it on different skin types and the best ways to use it.

The foundation is a natural wax based with buildable coverage. It is supposed to suit almost all different skin types, and I have to admit that it really does...

There are loads of different palettes available both in colour and size. Correctors and lip and cheek colours are also available. The easiest way to get them is to visit PAM shop (or their website http://www.preciousaboutmakeup.com/). At the moment I have foundation palette designed by Jan Sewell (it’s the name of palette!!). I am still considering of getting more of the colourful palettes, but the current amount of my makeup kit is stopping me…

I was quite impressed of the way it goes on the skin. In most cases I have to sheer it down, since I am not a fan of full coverage (when it’s not necessary). It leaves a healthy dewy finish which is very ‘in’ at the moment. Of course there is always a possibility of just powdering it down for more matte look…

It does stay on the skin a good amount of time as well. And if it starts to wear off, it’s very easy to fix it. Since it’s a wax based product, you only have to refresh it by smoothing it down with fingers or brush and it’s perfect again.

The colours in the palette I have are quite universal and lets me work with quite a wide range of skin shades. It looks like most of the colors are quite dark, but it actually works for even very light skin tones. Greenish shade (called C.R) helps to cover redness, buttery one (C.I) is a gorgeous highlight and darkest (128) I usually use for contour. I find this works very well for male makeup as well- if I sheer it down a lot, it looks like skin is naturally perfect!
